**About the OPPORTUNITY**

We have an exciting opportunity for a **Facilities** **Project Controller** to join our Hunter Class Frigate delivery team based at Osborne Naval Shipyard.

Reporting to the Shipyard Capability Manager, the Facilities Cost Controller is responsible for undertaking a wide variety of tasks for shipyard investment projects aimed at providing status and reporting.

The role will focus on assisting the engineering and project management teams providing scheduling, reporting and cost control of the many facilities investment projects. This will involve creating project status reports, reporting on financial project progress, collaboration with team members, assist in scheduling and managing internal stakeholders.
- We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working._
- Key responsibilities include:_
- Provide timely reporting of Shipyard Capability Projects
- Responsible for reporting on investment projects managing schedule, budget and project reporting of each allocated investment project
- Assisting in the delivery of investment projects from inception to completion
- Outstanding customer service skills - ability to effectively liaise with ASC Shipbuilding management, BAE Systems Australia general staff and contractors/suppliers; and Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder communication and management
- Establishing and maintaining a fully resourced and integrated Project Schedule and Control Account detailed schedules
- Use of schedule tools (Microsoft Project) to enter all baseline, progress and forecast data into the schedule tools

**About YOU**
- Previous experience in a similar role or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, solve problems and make decisions
- Desirable experience in: Shipbuilding, Planning, Scheduling, Risk Assessment, Coordination, Reporting, Monitoring and Controlling.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word / Power Point / Excel / Outlook along with database Management skills).
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders both internal and external to BAE Systems to implement business requirements
- Current Baseline defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Proficient in the use of Oracle, MS Project is highly desirable.
