**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity exists for a midwife who would like to extend their knowledge and experience in research.

Education and Learning has been successful in obtaining funding to support the research project titled: Measuring women's perception of feeling safe during labour and birth and evaluating clinical and emotional outcomes.

The project is based here at Western Health and led by Dr Margie McCormick, Education Coordinator - Research and Innovation.

**Key Responsibilities**:
In this role, you will be involved in all facets of conducting a large research project including recruitment, data collection, liaising with the research team, and analysing results.

**About You**:

- Registered Midwife
- Keen to be a member of a research team to conduct a large research project on women's safety during labour and birth
- Interested in gaining research experience
- Demonstrate effective organisational skills, particularly with respect to time management
- Have very well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, especially related to documentation
- Demonstrate the ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary research team
- Enthusiastic to participate all phases of a large research project (desirable)
- Knowledge of legal and ethics requirements (desirable)
- Desire to complete further post graduate studies in research (desirable)
