**Category Manager** for one of its core categories working with B2B, Trade and B2C strategies. Combine your category expertise and your analytical thinking n a role where your impact will be noticed.
**Snapshot of Responsibilities**:
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will deliver category management skills that will support the execution of the strategic category plan and promotional program.
- Your role will involve core range development and management, including range reviews, inventory management and branch level implementation
- You will proactively grow own-brands where appropriate to maximise margin and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of products to minimise obsolescence and over-stocks
- Hone your supplier management and negotiation skills, developing a keen commercial eye as you support and build supplier relationships across an extensive and critical portfolio for the business.
**What it Takes**:
- **Practical experience**:As a **Category Manager or Product Manager** from either a Retail or Wholesale setting and proven success in lifting commercial performance.
- **Product category exposure**:To affiliated categories such as hardware or hardgoods.
- **The right attitude**:Adaptable and agile, you thrive working with a variety of responsibilities and tasks, you relish autonomy and you are people and customer centric.
- **Analytical**: You use data to identify gaps, trends and opportunities for your category.
- **Tech savvy**: You know your way around the MS suite
