**Required Skills**:

- Able to distinguish colours to work with colour-coded wiring
- Have similar experience and knowledge in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong mathematics ability
- Excellent oral, written and face-to face communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment
- Able to self-manage throughout Apprenticeship to complete Training Plan requirements
- Communicate with a range of people
- Able to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Organisation and planning and prioritise workflow

Preferred Skills
- Assist in the installation, maintenance and updates of electrical systems for domestic, commercial and industrial clients
- Inspect, test and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
- Fault Finding on electrical equipment
- Complete required QA documentation of repairs and service information
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
- Able to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics and diagrams
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools
- Able to carry out mathematical problems
- Prepare and return worksheets after completion of jobs
- Complete timesheets
- Provide support and assist with on-the-job
- Maintain a comprehensive and complete hand tool kit sufficient to carry out required electrical duties
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team as required
