We are reducing the overall use of academic casual employment and providing meaningful pathways for casual academic staff to ongoing academic employment through our casual consolidation project.
To be eligible, you must (a) Have casual experience totalling at least two (2) teaching sessions at La Trobe University in the previous two (2) years; (b) Have not held a continuing position in a university in the previous three (3) years.
**About the Role**
As a Lecturer in Criminology, you will:
- Design and deliver curriculum in online, blended, and face-to-face formats, ensuring a rich and engaging learning experience.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and support their academic development.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation with a focus on employability and evidence-based teaching practices.
- Engage in the scholarship of learning and teaching to advance your field and improve student outcomes.
- Undertake administrative duties and collaborate within the La Trobe Law School.

- A completed PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Proven excellence in teaching and curriculum development in diverse delivery modes.
- A track record of improving student experiences through innovative initiatives.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with diverse backgrounds.
