Our Client is a vibrant young male who is an active member of his community. He is also quite the artist. He loves painting, is a fabulous singer and regularly performs as an Elvis impersonator. He enjoys bush walking and loves to spend time with his two cuddly dogs.

Our Client is planning a big move soon, and is looking to start building a new team of awesome Support Workers to support him with this transition. The ideal Support Worker for our Client is someone who is good natured and friendly, loves to have a laugh, and someone that’s not afraid to encourage our Client to explore and try new activities.

The role will involve support with community access only. While the role will primarily be based in Macleay Island, applicants on the mainland who are comfortable with travelling via ferry are encouraged to apply. An open driver’s licence, registered vehicle, and comprehensive insurance is required as some shifts will require vehicle use.

We are looking for Disability Support Workers who can assist with weekday shifts between the hours of 9am to 5pm that are 6 hours in length (exact days and times to be confirmed).

**Our base hourly rate for weekdays between the hours of 6am to 8pm is $31.96/hr plus penalty rates for qualifying shifts. Please note pay rates are set and non-negotiable.**

You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and support from our awesome Support Specialist team.

- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs
- Provide support to our Clients as required
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

- Hold NDIS worker screening or yellow card (or willingness to obtain)
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card

- Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (preferred)
- Have an open driver’s licence, registered vehicle, and comprehensive insurance (required)
