About the Role:
Are you a proven leader with a passion for optimising operations and driving team performance? Due to our rapid growth, Dragonfly Shipping is seeking a Station Manager to join our Caloundra station in a newly appointed role. In this pivotal position, you will work closely with the Regional Operations Manager to set and achieve operational goals, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and service excellence at our station.
As the Station Manager, you will oversee day-to-day station operations while leading and mentoring a team to meet and exceed KPIs, budgets, and forecasts. For the right person, this role will present growth and developmental opportunities as Dragonfly continues to expand our operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Regional Operations Manager to set operational goals, measures and reports results on a timely basis.- Plan, direct, and implement station operations and administrative support to meet prescribed productivity and service goals.- Responsible for preparing and analysing performance reports in regard to identified Key Performances Indicators (KPI), budgets and forecasts. Monitor results on an ongoing basis and adjusts operations as required.- Ensure timesheets and payroll information are accurately approved and submitted in a timely manner.- Provide an unparalleled employee experience and align department and individual efforts to the vision, mission and culture.- Ensures adherence to policies and procedures for the station.- Provide overall direction, support, coaching and leadership to the team in order to achieve the objectives.- Leads your team to provide the highest level of customer service, both internally and externally, with the goal of continuously improving the customer experience.
What does it take to be successful?- 3-5 years’ experience at a managerial level in a fast-paced environment in the transport/logistics industry.- Proven leadership abilities to guide a team working in a fast-paced environment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a culture of excellence.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly understand and identify issues and implement solutions.- Ability to effectively prioritise workflow to ensure deadlines are met, adapt to shifting priorities and supporting the implementation of continuous improvement.- Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, conflict resolution and team building abilities.- Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude with a hands-on team-oriented work style.
