**About the role**

The Gatehouse Operator is responsible for managing the traffic flow through the Depot and opening and closing the gate as required. Whilst there will be quiet periods throughout each shift, it is a high traffic site with up to 350 vehicles passing through our processing centre in a 24-hour period.

**The role will include the following duties**:

- Work on a rotating roster that will include nightshift and weekends
- Ensuring compliance with driver’s paperwork & loads
- Manage vehicles coming in and out of site
- Temperature monitoring of all refrigerated trailers & trucks
- Report writing
- Ensure site rules are always followed on site
- Communicate on a regular basis with drivers, operational staff and managers
- Physically check trucks to ensure compliance, including checking trailer temperatures

**Skills & Experience**
- Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft office
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Drivers Licence
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform manual tasks including walking and bending on a regular basis
