- The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging young people across Australia. Oasis Cafés are training cafés, providing valuable vocational training and employment pathways for young people.. We are currently seeking a values-driven Café Supervisor run and oversee all operations of the café and to supervise the staff, students, and volunteers in the front-of-house.
This is a permanent full-time position based at Oasis Central Coast, Wyong NSW.
You will successfully
- Oversee all front-of-house operations of Oasis café
- Work collaboratively with the chef and Hospitality trainer/assessor to operate and manage all aspects of the café
- Establish and implement procedures relating to all front-of-house café operations
- Develop and promote business strategies for continuous growth
- Assist with and support vocational training courses, with a potential of some delivery of classroom-based and practical training
- Meet industry legislation and standards for hygiene and cleaning requirements of people, facilities, and equipment
You will have
- Industry experience in the hospitality sector, including as a Barista
- Experience supervising trainees or students
- Experience as a vocational trainer (desirable)
- Commercial Cookery or Hospitality qualification
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- A valid Employee Working with Children Check
