Our client, a well-known FMCG business is seeking a strategic and data driven Category Manager to join their team. Reporting into the Head of Category & Insights, this is a unique opportunity to join a business while they are on a growth trajectory to develop and expand their product offering.

**The Role**

You will be instrumental in developing the category strategy - in order to be successful in this position, you will need to be at the stage in your career where you are self-directed and will naturally be able to demonstrate your strong knowledge of customer insights and data analytics. Responsibilities will include:

- Educate the business on category, consumer, shopper and market dynamics
- Create and drive category management projects to optimise the ranges
- Integrate category management principles into the business
- Translate critical consumer insights and analysing consumer data
- Analyse market performance on different product lines
- Maximising all product sourcing and development opportunities
- Work with partners on future product development opportunities
- Leverage insights from all relevant sources to continuously build and evolve the category understanding and ability to partner with customer base

**Your Background**
- Degree qualified in a business discipline
- Previous experience as a senior category manager in a fast growing business
- Experience analysing data and through customer insights, translate data and educate on behaviours
- Enjoy taking a hands on approach and a natural problem solver
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, a natural ability to influence at all levels is critical
- Strong organisation, planning and prioritisation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities
- Enjoy a fast paced, proactive work environment
