We are seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude to join our team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for our clients.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;**

**1. Cleaning and Sanitising**:
a. Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing to ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- **Surface Care**:

- Clean and disinfect surfaces in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas, including countertops, sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs and mirrors.
- **Floor Maintenance**:

- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and floor surfaces and mop hard floors.
- **Trash Removal**:

- Empty and clean bins, and replace liners. Dispose of waste in waste and recycling bins as appropriate.

**5. Spot Cleaning**:
a. Appliances such as oven, microwave, and refrigerator. Removal of periodic cobwebs.

**6. Tidying**:
a. Ensure furniture is straightened, cushions tidied, and personal items returned to their place within reason.
- **Supply Management**:

- You are responsible for ensuring your cleaning supplies and products are well stocked and refilled. Inform the team leader about any inventory requirements.
- **Equipment Care**:

- Use and maintain cleaning equipment properly; report any maintenance or repair needs.
- **Customer Interaction**:

- Communicate effectively and courteously with clients to ensure their specific cleaning requirements are met.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Follow all health and safety regulations; ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- **Additional Duties**:

- Ad-hoc deep cleaning in consultation with team leader.

**Qualifications, skills and experience;**
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is essential
- Attention to detail with ‘can-do’ attitude, able to follow instructions
- Strong time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Honest and reliable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, must be proficient in English
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Australian working rights
- Valid drivers’ licence and reliable transport

**Working Conditions**:

- This role requires working from client’s home
- May require overtime or weekend work in consultation with employee
- May include exposure to cleaning chemicals and allergens
- A probation period of 3 months applies to this position

**Award Rate**

This position is covered by the Cleaning Services Award 2024 (MA000022), with a minimum award rate of $28.72 per hour.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
