**Assistant Finance Analyst**

**Location**: Sydney or Brisbane
**Hours**: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
**Contract Type**: Permanent, Full-Time

**About the Role**

You’ll play a key part in supporting month-end processes, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities across Technology Finance & Analytics, Group Expense, and Performance Management teams.

**What You’ll Do**
- Deliver month-end finance processes accurately and on time.
- Investigate and resolve data variances and reconciliations promptly.
- Prepare and process accounting journals.
- Assist with key management reporting, including monthly reports.
- Maintain and update financial systems and databases.
- Provide analytical support for forecasting and budgeting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver performance insights.
- Build strong relationships to understand business drivers and trends that inform reporting.

**What You’ll Bring**
- Degree in Accounting or Finance; working towards CA/CPA (desired).
- Interest in financial services and eagerness to learn.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Experience or interest in tools like Power BI (advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Suite products; familiarity with finance systems (e.g., Oracle, TM1/Cognos).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines with high accuracy.
