Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) has an exciting opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist to join our team in a part time capacity. The position is responsible for providing an effective exercise physiology service across Gippsland Southern Health Service including running the HAPI exercise program across South Gippsland Shire.**About You**
As well as having a qualification as an exercise physiologist, the applicant must have sound communication, organisational and team work skills. Reporting to the Community Services Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Managing and prioritising clients referred to the program.
- Undertaking comprehensive assessments.
- Developing and monitoring client care plans.
- Developing and facilitating a variety of group exercise programs.
- Collaborating with members of the client’s care team.
- Participating in quality improvement activities.
- Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check, Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.-
**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : I have had my COVID-19 vaccine, or if I am successful in obtaining this role, I am willing to receive a COVID-19 vaccine (3) before commencing.
- Essential : Bachelor of Applied Science, Exercise Science or equivalent.
- Essential : Eligible for membership of the Australian Association for Exercise and Sports Science.
- Essential : Medicare Provider Number or willingness to obtain.
- Essential : Demonstrated commitment to quality and service development.
- Desirable : Experience of working in Community Health or a community setting.
- Desirable : Experience facilitating groups.
