**About us**

Due to the growth in Ipswich, we have multiple roles on offer (permanent, fixed term and casual), available within our cleaning teams within our Works and Field Services Branch. These roles are for both immediate start, and future vacancies.

We are looking for motivated people to join our Works and Field Services teams who have an excellent work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude that demonstrates commitment to deliver these services, as well as exceptional workplace safety and wellbeing practices.

**Available Roles**

**Supervisor (Cleaning) After hours**

You will be responsible for the management and coordination of Council’s after hours cleaning teams including both internal and external staff. Responsibilities include:

- Being responsible for ensuring all functions and responsibilities allocated to the cleaning teams are performed in an efficient and effective manner
- Prepare timesheets, rosters and assist with recruitment
- Liaise with customer around provision of services to ensure scope and expectations are met

**Cleaner (Permanent Part time/Casual)**

You will be responsible for undertaking general cleaning of Council occupied buildings.

Responsibilities include:

- Maintain Council buildings and facilities in a clean, hygienic and presentable condition
- Clean floors, glass, handrails and working surfaces
- Dispose of waste material from waste baskets
- Clean and disinfect toilets and kitchen areas
- Sweep and hose pathways

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
- Current C class Drivers Licence
- Availability to undertake shift work
- Experience in commercial cleaning

**Additional Information**
- Workers may be required pass a respirator fit test before they first start wearing a tight-fitting respirator, and at regular intervals during their employment.
- A pre-employment medical will be required for this role (Including Drug and Alcohol Testing)

**What's on offer?**

Supervisor (Cleaning) After hours - Generous salary starting at $66,033 plus superannuation

Cleaner - Generous salary starting at $58,803 plus superannuation

Note, variations of the above may be discussed depending on the offer of employment (for example, casual employment).
