**The role**
At the **Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF), the Technician Composites**plays a hands-on role in shaping the future of advanced composites. You’ll be operating and maintaining cutting-edge composites equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and collaborating with a passionate team to deliver high-quality machining solutions. Your work directly supports the AMRF’s mission to become a globally recognised hub for advanced manufacturing, where innovation and inclusion drive every project.

Overtime doesn’t occur on a regular basis in this role. For additional hours worked beyond 35 hours per week, flex leave is available

**What you will bring to the role**
- Demonstrable experience optimizing composites manufacturing solutions with quality, expedience, and value for a diverse range of projects
- Experience with multi-technology composite environments (e.g. Filament Winding, Hand Layup, etc..) and related post-processing and inspection techniques.
- Proven compliance with project specifications, quality and customer expectations, safety and environmental standards, and resource constraints.
- Working knowledge and understanding of 3D design and programming software, and technical drawings per ASME Y14.5 or AS1100.
- Proven ability to work effectively in team environments while demonstrating independent problem-solving capabilities and self-directed learning skills.
- Demonstrated experience operating composites technologies within critical quality systems
**What is an essential requirement**:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, or related disciplines, or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience.
