**The role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an Pricing Specialist to join our fast growing team in Melbourne. Our team is a mix of diverse, energetic and customer focused individuals who have a common goal; to support our customers and help contribute to grow our business across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

**Your tasks will involve**:
As appropriate, the role will be responsible for the following indicative and non-exhaustive activities.
- Assess data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends
- Tracking customer engagement to develop effective pricing strategies for products and services
- Creating pricing models to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies and/or meet customer price breakdown requirements
- Forecasting revenue based on pricing trends, delivery costs, margins and sales volumes
- Collaborating with Sales and Solution Consulting departments on developing and implementing competitive pricing strategies
- Developing a dynamic pricing tool to effectively respond to different solutions and pricing strategies
- Preparing and presenting pricing analysis findings to executives, Sales staff.
- Assists the Internal Sales team coordinating all the sales operations are executed to the Sales Process, adhering to the procedures of approvals within and preparation of quotations for sign-off;
- Ensures clear and timely handovers of customer projects in a structured manner, from pre-sales to project delivery and operational units, for their implementation;
- Use Salesforce CRM to track, manage & maintain all pre-sales activity including coordination of document control using MS Teams and SharePoint;
- Act as a communication point across various internal and external (overseas) departments at various organisational levels;
- Contribute towards business planning and forecasting activities;
- Act as a user of “Project Info Base” to assist the sales team;
- Update and assist with preparing sales reports where required;
- Initiate and support improvements of sales-related processes;
- Assist to calculate client quotations and administers client accounts;
- Manage incoming customer orders, enter details of the order on the company’s computing system and check that it includes the correct price, discount level and product requirements;

**About you**:
You will have experience in a project based environment working across the internal sales team.

Ideally, you will have:

- Tertiary Bachelor degree or TAFE Certification in business or engineering desirable;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Pricing
- Experience working within a similar project based environment
- Technical understanding of electrical and software engineering principles highly desirable,
- Possesses knowledge of methodology for cost estimations in projects and ability to understand & articulate cost calculations;
- Experience in using a sales portal / CRM systems;
- Competent IT user with the ability to learn new systems quickly;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
