Maintenance Supervisor

**About the Role**:
Our Maintenance Supervisor at Cardinia Community Aged Care, Officer, will be responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of this brand new, state of the art building to a high standard, having regard for the comfort and wellbeing of residents and advising on replacement or repairs as required.

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Experience in building maintenance
- Knowledge of Aged Care industry (desirable)
- Thorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs i.e. OH&S & Fire/Evacuation
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment
- Willingness to contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time
- Excellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues
- Previous experience working autonomously with limited direction
- Ability to make decisions about costs and priorities and documenting a full plan for work to be completed
- Supervise and monitor the maintenance and gardening team
Contribute to the support of aged care residents by providing quality service as required, and with respect to dignity and privacy.
- Trade Qualification e.g. B Grade Electrician & OHS Qualification is advantageous
- Ability to weld would be an advantageous
- A current Victorian driver’s licence
