Great Temptations is a well established business, renowned for its quality baking products. Great Temptations is a leading commercial bakery manufacturing prepacked cakes and slices for retailers across Australia and Asia.

An opportunity exists for a casual food production assistant in the packing department of our factory. This position will report to the production manager.

The Role:
The purpose of this position is to assist in the finishing and packing of our cakes.
- Responsible for operating an icing machine, dipping of cakes, topping cakes with nuts, chocolate pieces, packing into plastic trays.
- Check food ingredients for freshness, quality, and availability.
- Ensure packed products have correct dates and labels.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Report safety hazards immediately.
- Adhere to all approved company policies and procedures (HR, OHS and Quality).
- Complete accurate and legible records on a daily basis.

Essential Criteria
- Ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise
- Good understating of hygiene and food safety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Proven ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Focus on OSH and commitment to actively maintaining a safe work environment.
- The ability to work without management direction, use initiative and possess a positive attitude towards teamwork is critical.
