**Flying Bark Productions has two incredible opportunities to join our team of talented artists working on some incredibly exciting new projects we have coming up. We’re looking for a couple of Layout Supervisors who can work from our beautiful studio in Sydney (preferred) or remotely elsewhere in Australia and have a passion for storytelling and pushing the envelope with their work.**

**The Layout Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all cinematographic aspects of the CG production are executed creatively according to the Director’s vision and to the required technical specifications of the production, acting as the “Digital Camera Operator” for the project. This includes responsibility for visual and story continuity and flow within and between shots, composition, previsualisation as required, supervision of layout crew, dialogue and interaction with related departments as required.**

**Here's the kind of skills we're looking for and responsibilities you're looking to take on**:

- Supervise a team of Layout Artists to create Production Layout shots for the project;
- Supervise and establish character blocking, set dressing, camera framing and movement, while maintaining a strong sense of composition, animation timing and storytelling.
- Assign and review work of the layout team and actively participate in dailies and meetings;
- Work closely with the production team to bid on shots and ensure internal agreed deadlines are met;
- Work closely with the Director to ensure the composition and cinematic standards of the project are maintained throughout the layout process;
- Collaborate with the CG Supervisor to test creative and technical workflows for optimum efficiency and help develop the department pipeline;
- Work closely with the 2D BG team in a 2.5D workflow and provide information to allow for efficient creation of Backgrounds.
- Collaborate with asset departments and the editor to incorporate pre-visualization work into sequences;
- Provide training and ongoing support for junior/mid layout artists;
- Work within the constraints of the pipeline, and provide feedback about where workflows could be improved;
- Keep the documentation for the team and other supervisors updated;
- Perform other tasks related to the creation of computer-generated animation as required;
- Strong communication and ability to work to a verbal or visual brief, flagging in advance any issues.
