Shift Fitter immediate start in Wollongong.3 shift system, permanent position

**Your new company**
This successful International manufacturing organisation are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Fitter (3 shift) for a fantastic permanent opportunity, based in Wollongong.
This position would suit a Fitter who has great experience fault finding machinery using schematics and has pneumatic/hydraulic exposure.
The job is frontline breakdown response with preventative maintenance tasks as fill in work.

**Your new role**
There’s a shift allowance of about $150 when on afternoon and night shift plus dirt and tool allowance.
OT will be available when required.
Please note there will be a training period of a few months where the new employee will be on day work, a 38hr week, Monday to Friday.
- Continual focus on safety.
- Lead trades during down days, major shuts and breakdowns when required.
- Maintain effective communications with resources, planners and operations.
- Carry out isolations and review PTWs/JSEAs for content and correctness.
- Supply technical support when requested.
- Frontline Breakdown Response.
- Backshifts Plant Owner
- Carry out RCA investigations.
- Carry out research on continual improvement opportunities
- Write detailed reports and procedures.
- Utilise the CMMS to write shift reports, order spare and improve systems.
- Update EMS system
- Carry out Safe Act Observations and near miss reporting.
- Give support to operations and trades teams.
- Ensure continuous machine reliability.
- Site gate keeper on Backshifts/Weekend
- Lead down days and shutdowns when required.
- Trouble shoot effectively
- Carryout preventative maintenance safely and effectively.
