**About the Centre**

The Fawkner Leisure Centre has been servicing the Fawkner community for over 50 years and is apart of the Active Moreland leisure facilities. The Centre located on Jukes Road with within a community hub that includes the library, community sport hall, Fawkner Neighbourhood House, Fawkner Senior Citizens Centre and Meri Meri Community Health Centre. The Fawkner Leisure Centre has a Fully-equipped Fawkner gym, a Group fitness studio and an exciting range of classes, a large Aquatics areas (Indoor pool, Outdoor pool, spa and sauna), Adult programs, Men and Women’s only programs, Outdoor training area including CB Smith Reserve, and Access for all abilities

**About the role**

Fawkner Leisure Centre is looking for a vibrant, motivated Aquatic Programs Coordinator to lead the Learn to Swim teams.

As the Aquatic Programs Coordinator you will manage and lead teams of employees in Aquatic Program areas such as Swimming Lessons, School groups and birthday parties. You will ensure that the delivery of the programs meets a high standard of service, while inspiring, and motivating your team through clear and achievable team goals and support high standards of implementation of Policies and Procedures.

There will be a strong focus on driving performance and working closing with all Active Moreland facilities in a single mode of operation. You will oversee the Swim school and program teams at the Fawkner Leisure Centre.

**Partnerships **- The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders is essential for this role.

**About you**

You will oversee the swim school teams within the centre, coordinate swim school programs, schools programs, birthday parties, develop aquatic programs, complete business administrative tasks and work within the centre budget.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a background in swim teaching or similar
- Have the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Think creatively with a solution focused approach
- Be approachable and personable, with a customer focused approach to your work

**Essential Qualifications**
- First Aid certificate
- CPR certificate
- Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent)

**Other Desired Qualifications &**
**Experience**
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Program delivery and / or customer service experience
- Sport and Recreation and / or Facility Operations experience
