Medical Receptionist

Gatton Medical Centre provides a full range of clinical service from consults through to all sorts of procedures including skin. We are a non-corporate, practitioner owned medical centre with a modern and well-equipped treatment room, bright and light consult rooms and fully computerized. Our practice has an excellent reputation with more than 40 years serving the local Community.
- Pay rate will be discussed based on experience and in accordance to the Health Professionals and Support Services Award.
- Hours will consist of up to 38 hours per week (76 hours per fortnight).
- Start date is ASAP

**Key requirements**:

- Previous experience with Best Practice or Medical Director.
- Manage appointment schedules
- Working knowledge of Medicare item numbers for general practice
- Assisting clients with booking appointments with specialists and other providers.
- Work effectively within a team and also able to work independently.
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Display a professional manner via phone and with patients in the clinic setting
- Able to multitask and display fantastic organisational skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Scheduling appointments and processing payments.
- Banking
- Organising incoming correspondence and directing to the appropriate health professional.
- Liaising with patients and their families and assisting with arrangements for their care.
- Assisting our GP's and allied health providers with required administration tasks.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
