**About the Role**:
As a Finance Analyst, you will assist the business to implement change by determining the requirement of a project or enhancement, and communicating this clearly to stakeholders. The role also includes liaising with technical and business resources to develop a solution design, as well as validation to effect the best outcome for the change. This is a crucial role that converts business needs into successful solutions.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Finance Analyst will ensure that the Mortgage Origination project delivers the required Finance objectives to meet current and anticipated prudential and management reporting requirements.
This includes identifying the Finance objectives, documenting technical specifications for integrating data outputs from the Data Warehouse into financial reporting platforms, the creation and execution of test cases to ensure the completeness and accuracy of technical requirements and reconciliation of data sets across various systems.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
- Review proposed mortgage origination platforms capabilities and business process and provides the project team with the Finance requirements driven by current and future prudential and management reporting.
- Assist the project team in mapping data outputs to Data Warehouse tables.
- Understand and translate Finance requirements into technical requirements and collaborating with Data Analysts to document these into technical specifications, particularly in respect of data flow from the mortgage origination platform into other reporting platforms.
- Maintenance of Finance business glossary, including new items.
- Creation and execution of test cases, and defect management in order to validate the solution as well as to reconcile data sets extracted from reporting platforms.
- Provide implementation support to ensure correct implementation of technical requirements and providing expected results and feedback.
- Develop and maintain relevant data quality assurance
- Represents the Reporting and Planning team in various projects as required
- Undertakes other Finance Department tasks as required
**About You**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications at degree level
- Database and SQL experience a must
- Experience with retail lending reporting (data analysis and/or financial reporting)
- Experience with data reporting, including data definition, mapping and translating business requirements into technical requirements
- Experience constructing, documenting and executing test cases within project framework/context
- Experience with analysis and reconciliation of large data sets
- Simpology experience an advantage
- CoreBIS experience an advantage
- TM1 experience an advantage
- Jira skills an advantage
- Promapp or similar procedural mapping tool an advantage
