**The Role**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 may include:

- developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality
- preparing program performance reporting including regular monthly, quarterly, annual and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
- undertaking program performance analysis and strategy to program delivery where business intelligence identifies risks
- preparing costings for FEG policy development work
- responding to ad-hoc reporting and report building requests from internal stakeholders
- acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining data governance processes
- interpreting data, and analysing results using statistical techniques
- identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns relating to KPIs in complex data sets
- managing Australian National Audit Office data audit requests
- identifying anomalies in various data sources
- preparing and providing reports to Australian Securities and Investments Commission
- using analysed data to create reports identifying process improvement opportunities
- coordinating input into data software redevelopment

**Qualifications and Education**
Relevant tertiary qualifications in data science or a related field are highly desirable but not essential to this role.
