We are currently seeking a skilled & experienced laboratory technician with a background in experimental chemistry to join us and support in translational research & scaling up synthesis of Rux’s bespoke Metal Organic Framework (MOF) compounds.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Demonstrating an unerring commitment to safety by following safe laboratory work practices in Rux’s eManufacturing wet lab and maintaining a clean working environment.
- Performing a variety of analytical chemistry lab tasks.
- Handle & dispose of chemicals safely, in line with chemical safety data sheets and established procedures.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in laboratory operations and procedures.
- Establish the Standard Operating Process(es) (SOP) for manufacturing new MOFs
- Batch manufacturing of MOF materials, inclusive of recording batch details and results from subsequent Quality Control (QC) check(s). This may include analysis of MOF properties using various instruments & equipment for gas sorption, strength testing, rheology & density measurements.
- Perform laboratory experiments, collect measurements and other data & record results, as directed by senior team members.
- Perform basic instrument & equipment maintenance tasks. Maintain stocks of chemicals, materials and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Diploma or tertiary qualifications in laboratory sciences. Certificate III & IV qualifications will be considered if backed by ample experience.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant work in wet lab environments involving analytical chemistry, biological testing or pathology.
- Familiarity with testing using common analytical instruments - i.e., use of chromatographic, spectrometric and electrometric techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
