About the Role:
As the Human Resources Consultant at our Huntly Mining Operations located east of North Dandalup you will have all the experience of working on a mine site without the FIFO lifestyle. Working a regular Monday to Friday roster you’re home in the evenings and weekends never missing out on those special celebrations.

Reporting to the HR Manager you will be the conduit for ensuring optimum efficiency in our HR policies and processes whilst being accountable for the implementation and delivery of employee relations, behavior mentoring and management coaching. You will also be a key driver in providing essential HR advice to the site leadership team.

Key activities include:
- Participation in project activities, including improving employee engagement, succession plan development, corporate projects.- HR support and advice to line and functional leaders on areas including ethical and legislative compliance, performance management, compensation, HR systems,- Ongoing review and implementation of Alcoa standards and processes, policy review, change management.- Developing recommendations on policy and process improvements to maintain best practice.- Maintain to an expert level, knowledge of current and proposed legislation and changes.- Advise, coach, and assist senior management on employee relations matters.- Develop and provide employee relations training to all levels of the organisation. The emphasis in this area to be placed on improving relations and developing proactive approaches to these matters.

What you can bring to the role:
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.- Substantial experience working within a Human Resources or Employee Relations setting.- Exposure to working with a unionised workforce, heavy industry or the resources sector would be advantageous.- Customer focused mentality

Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia and it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra and Kwinana alumina refineries. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA. Bauxite ore from Alcoa’s Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
