**The Opportunity**:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a self-motivated and dedicated individual to join the Production team in the Casino area as a Forest Officer Trainee

**About the role**:
As a Forestry Officer trainee you will learn to undertake mark-up surveys (tree marking) prior to harvest operations, how to identify tree species, threatened species and habitat types, harvesting and contractor supervision, grading of logs into products such as power poles and undertake inventory of both plantation and native forests, in order to support timber production and compliance with our legal obligations.

- Excellent work ethic, and ability to consistently work within a challenging operational environment.
- Commitment to safety and environmental compliance within an operational environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- The willingness to undertake fire management duties, including firefighting.
- A Class C Drivers Licence, or a commitment to attain.
