Fantastic opportunity for an established Finance Business Partner to partner closely with operational stakeholders of a leading retailer

**The Role**

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will work closely with Regional General Managers and Area Managers and build relationships within the Operations team that allow you to drive positive financial outcomes without losing sight of the operational impacts behind each decision. The main responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Partner with executive leadership (COO & CFO), driving understanding and optimisation alongside insightful analysis for improved operational performance
- Identifying risks and opportunities in the market and working with the operations teams to deliver positive financial outcomes
- Deep understanding of what is driving sales, gross profit, and labour performance in your region, as well as remaining close to the overhead cost structure
- Responsible for the yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for sales and gross profit
- Attend weekly operations catchups and periodic forums, providing analytical reviews and recommendations
- Own the labour engine, its updates and champion its understanding, acceptance, and implementation across the operations community
- Continual labour workforce optimisation - leveraging systems, a wide breadth of data and conversation with key stakeholders
- Understand the drivers of gross profit deeply
- Translate business questions to data and analysis requirements; carry out data mining, analysis, visualization, and presentation
- Proactively engaging and building relationships with your stakeholders
- Regular market visits - ensuring the right amount of time is spent in the field connecting with the team

**Your Profile**
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- CA/CPA qualified preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years in a Finance Business Partnering or similar
- High attention to detail;
- Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel features
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to be able to build rapport and relationships with non-finance stakeholders with ease
- Experience in managing and prioritising multiple departmental requirements and deadlines.
