Who you are

As an IKEA Food Co-worker, you demonstrate passion, love and commitment to food, its quality and presentation. You have experience working in fast paced, hands-on environments and are enthusiastic about working with others in a team. You have excellent communication skills and demonstrate a polite and friendly manner. As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends.

**Responsibilities**:
As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
- Food preparation, cooking and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
- Processing dishes and maintaining the washing up area and machines whilst supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the customer restaurant.
- Active selling, cash handling, customer service, food preparation and cooking.

A key role of the IKEA Food Team is to serve our customers ensuring they have a positive experience in our store to give our visitors a taste reason to return. Together we strive to deliver a prime dining experience for the customer shopping journey and ensure our shoppers and their stomachs are truly satisfied.
