An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced **Project Controls Team Leader** to join a growing national consultancy renowned for delivering practical, innovative solutions across the **Energy & Resources**, **Infrastructure**, and **Property** sectors.

In this leadership role, you will drive best-practice project controls across a diverse and high-impact portfolio in the **oil & gas**, **infrastructure**, and **mining and minerals** sectors. Reporting to the **Project Delivery Manager**, you will lead a team of five Project Controls professionals, ensuring robust systems are in place to support **cost**, **schedule**, and **risk** management while enabling commercial decision-making through accurate forecasting, reporting, and variation preparation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the setup, implementation, and continuous improvement of project controls frameworks.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using **Primavera P6** and **Microsoft Project**.
- Establish and maintain accurate cost control systems.
- Extract, transform, and load performance data across cost and time metrics.
- Oversee monthly project review cycles.
- Mentor and lead a team of 5 project controls staff.

**Key Projects & Sectors**:

- **Oil & Gas Infrastructure**:

- **Civil & Utilities Infrastructure** - including energy, transport, and water projects.
- **Mining & Minerals Infrastructure**

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum **8 years’ experience** in project controls within engineering, EPCM, or consultancy environments.
- Strong experience managing integrated **cost and schedule controls** on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Proven ability to deliver accurate **cost and schedule forecasts**.
- Exceptional communication and **stakeholder engagement** skills.
- Tertiary qualification in **Engineering**, **Project Management**, **Construction Management**, or a related field.
- Professional certification in **PMI**, **PMP**, or project controls/cost management (desirable).
