**About the role**:
This position leads, supports, develops and coordinates the daily activities of the Operational Spatial System Officers (OSSOs) who are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the Distribution Management System (DMS) and its associated systems in relation to the Operational viability of the Electricity Network.

In addition to leading the team the Team Lead will liaise with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure a high quality and timely service is being provided. The incumbent will produce and maintain a high-level plan and resolve issues with resource and work flow disparity.

**What you’ll deliver**:

- Lead, supervise & coordinate the daily activities of the team by providing them with direction and support
- Foster & instil a team culture focused on high quality and on time delivery in order to provide the best possible organisational and customer outcomes
- Devise and implement effective process improvements that aim to deliver operational excellence and meet current and future workload requirements
- Develop and implement HV and LV DMS patches as required
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures associated with updating the DMS and GIS for Operational purposes.
- Contribute to the Network Access and Control and Operations Management teams with strategy and direction and outworking of visions and business plans

**To succeed in the role you’ll have**:

- Experience in leading and providing technical direction to a team.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience working on HV electrical network in a technical role.
- Previous work experience on the electrical Sub transmission & distribution system and appreciation of GIS and DMS.
- Knowledge of the Operational requirements of Distribution Management Systems
- Tertiary qualification in GIS, Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Technology (electrical/drafting), or substantial relevant demonstrated electrical industry experience
- GE Smallworld and PowerOn products is preferred.
- Excellent skills in writing project management and technical instructions
