The Scientific Advisor, Rare Disease role will join the Medical Team to lead the strategic and tactical execution for the ANZ organisation, based at our new South Yarra office.

This role will focus on delivering the strategic medical plan for Rare Diseases and contribute to the overall brand plan.

As a key member of the Medical Team, you will:

- Build and develop strong relationships with Thought Leaders in ANZ.
- Facilitate the direction of scientific communication and initiatives to provide better access to medicines for patients.
- Effective collaboration with stakeholders across the business to ensure strong governance and delivery of the overall brand plan.
- Support a cohesive, high performing medical team to ensure that high standards are consistently maintained across the entire medical department and cross functional teams

You will bring to the role:

- 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a similar or related role
- Medically Qualified or PhD or BSc/MSc with experience in liver diseases
- Demonstrated field medical and medical affairs experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication and influencing skills
- Demonstrated business & financial acumen.
- Launch experience highly regarded

To be considered for this role, you will have an appropriate level of qualification coupled with a proven track record in medical affairs, proficiency in the material review process, working with field teams and an understanding of the pharmaceutical environment in Australia. Experience in is valued but not required. You will be strong in relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders with exceptional communication and influencing skills.
