**The Company**:

- Our client was founded in 2004 have quickly become market leaders within Engineering & fabrication space, providing specialist services to Australia’s Food & Beverage industry. They have quickly become trusted advisers and continue to work for some of the world’s most recognised food brands.
- Due to their continued growth, they are now looking for a Process Mechanical Design Manager to join their Melbourne Southeast site, who will be responsible to help manage & deliver Phase Gate to process-mechanical designs.

**As the Process Mechanical Design Manager, you will focus on**:

- Collaboration with Senior Engineers, Graduate Engineers & contract Design Draftsman to help better develop & deliver on time design outcomes.
- Delivery of Phase Gate approach to process-mechanical designs.
- Facilitate design approval requirements including accuracy of design details, quality requirements, constructability & meeting budget requirements.
- Directly manage Graduate Engineers in process mechanical drafting & contract Design Draftsman
- Facilitating HAZAN on all projects.
- Someone who has previously demonstrated experience in Phase Gate process or a similar structured process.
- You will be able to demonstrate that you have on-site project design experience, able to deliver all design packages on time and within allocated budget.
- You will be able to exhibit design drafting & understand design process with strong focus on leadership through collaboration.
- Ideally you are tertiary qualified in Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental.
- Process, Mechanical, Design & Project Engineers will be strongly considered.
- Demonstrated design experience with a consultancy within FMCG would be highly advantageous.
- Self-motivated leader who has a great understanding of design process who can lead a small team to deliver an outcome safely, on time & within budget.
