Operating from our Slacks Creek workshop, we take pride in creating high-quality, custom-built products, such as racks for light vehicles, truck bodies, VMS signs, and portable traffic signals. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated **Trades Assistant** to support our team.

**The Role**:
As a Trades Assistant, you will work closely with our fabrication and assembly teams, providing hands-on assistance to ensure smooth workshop operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for practical work and an interest in fabrication, assembly, and mechanical tasks. The role involves a variety of tasks, including supporting tradespeople, preparing materials, and assisting with basic mechanical and electrical jobs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist tradespeople with fabrication, assembly, and mechanical tasks.
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for daily tasks and projects.
- Help with installation and assembly of workshop products.
- Perform general workshop duties, including cleaning and organising workspaces.
- Handle basic mechanical and electrical tasks under supervision.
- Support with stock management and equipment maintenance as required.

**About You**:

- Some experience in a similar role or within a workshop environment is highly regarded.
- Keen interest in practical, hands-on work with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with workshop tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Reliable, hardworking, and proactive attitude.
- Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

**Work Authorisation**: Must have the right to work in Australia.

Pay: $26.10 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
