As a lab supervisor, you will play a crucial role in our IVF laboratory, responsible for performing various procedures involved in assisted reproductive technologies. Your expertise in oocyte and sperm handling, fertilization, embryo culture, and cryopreservation will be invaluable in helping our patients achieve successful outcomes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including fertility specialists and nurses, to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and contribute to the continuous improvement of our laboratory practices.
**Responsibilities**:
- Performing procedures related to gamete handling, including oocyte retrieval, sperm preparation, and assessment.
- Conducting fertilization procedures, such as conventional IVF, ICSI, and other advanced ART techniques.
- Conducting embryo transfers and assisting with various procedures to optimize implantation success.
- Performing preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) procedures on embryos as required.
- Contributing to quality control and quality assurance initiatives in the laboratory.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities and patient information.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements in embryology and reproductive technologies.
**Requirements**:
- Master's degree in Biology, Reproductive Biology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Embryologist in an ART laboratory setting.
- In-depth knowledge of embryology techniques, including gamete handling, fertilization, embryo culture, and cryopreservation.
- Familiarity with preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) procedures is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Dedication to patient-centred care and empathy for individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatments.
