St Matthew’s Anglican Church is in Wanniassa ACT. We are a large (500+) evangelical Bible-based, Christ-centred church with a rich history of preaching God’s word, and sending people out. Gripped by the love of Christ, St Matt’s is passionate about seeing strangers become believers, believers grow to be lovers, and lovers serve as warriors for Him. An essential aspect of this is raising children to know, follow and share Jesus.

The Children’s and Family Ministry (in weekly contact with 100 kids), in partnership with parents, is committed to raising children in the training and instruction of the Lord-calling them to faith and teaching them to obey the Lord Jesus. With fruitful structures already in place, we are looking for a gospel-centred servant to join our team and continue Christ’s mission by overseeing St Matt’s Children’s and Families ministries.

**Essential criteria**
- Love Jesus above all else
- Love His Church
- Love kids and desire to see them come to trust Christ
- Of proven godly character (as per 1 Timothy 3)
- Of evangelical and reformed convictions
- Ability to teach God’s Word
- Ability and experience to lead, recruit, train and develop teams of leaders
- Ability to work independently and in a staff team, managing people and time well
- Able to join the same philosophy of ministry and culture of St Matt’s, especially working together with our Youth Minister (and other staff) to coordinate an integrated vision and mission plan for children (and their parents)

**Desirable criteria**
- Formal theological education
- Able to preach faithfully, engagingly and clearly to children
- Experience with a variety of children’s ministries
- Ability and experience in managing people and time well
- Experience with School Holiday Kids Clubs and Camps
- Creative and fun

Full-time preferred. Safe Ministry compliant (or able to comply).
