About the Role
Fulfil the accountabilities and responsibilities of this role in accordance with Metro South's purpose and objectives, as outlined below.
- The Fellow will actively participate in new and review patient consultations under the supervision of a consultant.
- The Fellow will attend allocated multidisciplinary meetings.
- The Fellow may be required to attend clinics elsewhere as determined by the Director of Radiation oncology.
- The Fellow will present cases at peer-review discussions.
- The Fellow will be expected to complete a minimum of one research project during their time of appointment.
- The Fellow will be expected to assist with registrar and undergraduate student teaching.
- The Fellow will participate in in-service lectures to staff.
- The Fellow will attend and participate in quality activities such as grand round presentations, journal clubs and research meetings.
- The Fellow will perform ward rounds on relevant patients as required and be available for weekend rostered ward rounds.
- Demonstrate an awareness of Queensland hospital policies and procedures.
- Adhere to hospital practices and demonstrate initiative aligned to ensuring the safest possible environment for patients and staff.
- Report adverse incidents and near misses and actively participate in Hospital's Integrated Risk Management and Safety Program, including participation in Incident Monitoring System and Root Cause Analysis where appropriate.
