DPS Security Services is responsible for the security function for Parliament of Victoria, inclusive of the Parliamentary precincts and electorate offices across Victoria.
**About the role**
Our Security team is seeking an adaptable Security Officer to provide exceptional guarding services at the iconic Victorian Parliament House. Reporting to the Security Coordinator, you will join a skilled team of security professionals, with key responsibilities including:
- Performing security screening, inspection, identification and reporting to ensure the safe and smooth operation of all security checkpoints at Parliament House.
- Providing a warm welcome and outstanding customer service to all staff, visitors, and guests.
- You will be provided you with training to develop your individual skills and assist you in building a successful Security career.
Typically, you will work a 7 hour and 36-minute shift between the hours of 6:30am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. The nature of this role may also require you to work a 7 hour and 36-minute shift between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30pm/10:00pm.
