**THE ROLE**
**Are you**
- Skilled in governance, compliance assessment, co-ordination and reporting and looking develop your experience in a large department governance and compliance role?
- A good communicator, both verbally and in writing?
- Keen to develop your leadership and management skills?
The Assistant Manager, Governance provides leadership and guidance in respect to the Department's key financial governance requirements, including the annual financial management compliance report. The Assistant Manager, Governance is second in charge to the Manager Governance. The Assistant Manager, Governance is second in charge to the Manager Governance. The role assists with the management of the Governance Team, including its staff and deliverables. The main deliverables include the preparation the Department's annual compliance report, including managing the co-ordination of the Department's annual compliance status and several other activities.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Assist in the management of the Governance Team, including its staff and deliverables.
- Take a lead role in the assessment, co-ordination, reporting and analysis of the Department's annual financial management compliance reporting;
- Comply with the Financial Management Act 1994, the Standing Directions 2018 and associated Instructions and Frameworks and other relevant legislation, regulations and government directives, policies and guidelines.
