**The role**

Guide the Desktop Home Assessing Team in virtual property assessments, cost validation, and claims management. They organize ongoing training and coaching to ensure consistency and effectiveness in assessments and scope validation.

**Position Accountabilities**
- Provide continuous coaching to team members in the areas of scoping accuracy, cost validation, compliance, project management, virtual assessing software, and virtual assessment techniques.
- Provide constructive feedback for improvement and capability building.
- Enhance the Home Claims Operating Model using operational reports and analytics.
- Lead and inspire the team to uphold service standards and process adherence.
- Manage the team in line with company policies, HR procedures, and legal requirements.
- Promote company values and provide guidance to support skill development and career growth.
- Handle escalated claims and complex issues.
- Regularly assess performance, set expectations, and work with the team on targets.
- Implement and refine cost control strategies to meet budget goals.
- Identify improvement areas in the Home Claims Value Chain.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders; provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to strategic and operational improvements based on on-ground insights.
- Offer input on process, system development, and staffing needs.Track and report on KPIs to ensure productivity and quality meet internal standards.

**What experience you’ll bring**
- Experience managing a team and delivering business results.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Strong adaptability to change.
- Estimating experience (preferred).
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Minimum 2 years in home assessing or the building industry.
- Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Insurance experience is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in operational reporting.
