**About the Opportunity**
As a Braille Trainer, in consultation with clients the key purpose of this position is to provide training in Braille as a communication tool for clients and their family and carers. This service may be provided in centre and community based settings and through correspondence courses within the parameters of VA service delivery policies. Services may also be provided to relevant third parties in the community. Staff training is available, particularly for providing Braille training to new staff members as appropriate and providing updates in the Unified Braille Code (UBC) to all staff. In this role you will also:
- Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate individual or group specialised training services in consultation with clients, and based on client needs identified throughout the assessment process;
- Deliver presentations and workshops on a broad range of Braille Technology topics;
- Identify, develop and review information and resources;

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant training or Certificate 4 in Workplace Training or state equivalent;
- Relevant qualification and/or extensive experience in the provision of Braille technology;
- A working knowledge of a range of relevant software packages for using Braille technologies;
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve complex problems;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
