Trainee Educator

We are seeking a dedicated team member with a genuine passion and interest in promoting children’s learning and well-being. Our Centre is well equipped with resources and programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework curriculum, including a specialised Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten program. Our educators are committed to providing a safe, joyful and positive experience for all our children and families.

With an established team and on-the-job mentoring, you will receive all the support required to start a successful career in Early Childhood Education. This is a twelve-month employment commitment for you to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

**Applicants must**:

- be able to demonstrate a Christian commitment consistent with the College’s Ethos
- have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement
- have current first aid certificate with CPR or willing to obtain
- be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- be able to work up to 38 hours per week between 7:00am and 5:30pm
- be willing to study towards a Certificate III in Children’s Services as a traineeship
- have confidence to build positive and lasting relationships with children and families.
- have phenomenal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- have a friendly and energetic demeanour
- have no prior qualification

**Your role will be to**:

- assist in the delivery of educational programs for all age groups
- assist in planning learning environments, setting up activities, preparing and cleaning away materials and supplies
- maintain effective communication with the parents of each child
- ensure a high level of health & safety standards are always maintained
- maintain positive working relationships with team members
- create a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment
