As a not-for-profit social enterprise, we exist purely to improve the lives of Australia's children and their families. From our centre teams to our support teams, we work together to make a real difference for children in those crucial early years.

The Inclusion Support Partner is accountable to the Practice and Inclusion Helpdesk Team Leader for the provision of specialist advice on inclusive practices that is timely, and evidence based. This role will contribute to the improvement of early childhood outcomes for children experiencing vulnerability by providing specialist inclusion advice, support and coaching via the Practice and Inclusion Helpdesk, to Goodstart centre team members and around centre support teams in all states and Territories. The Practice and Inclusion Helpdesk is an on-demand and responsive professional support structure providing centres with direct access to teaching, learning, practice and inclusion expertise at their point and time of need.

Support is provided primarily through online consultations and also involves identification of the need for escalation and more intensive supports. The position is integral to Goodstart’s Inclusion for Everyone goal and supports centre teams to support and include all children with additional needs. Children with additional needs encompass those children who are experiencing vulnerability and are most at risk of poor developmental outcomes. This role has a key focus on children with developmental delays, disability, medical and behavioural needs, and takes into account other social and cultural factors such as trauma, domestic violence, poverty, neglect and abuse, unemployment, indigeneity, refugee or humanitarian status, English as a second language and so on.

Liaise with state-based Practice and Social Inclusion team members if an inquiry requires support beyond what can be delivered virtually and continue to manage the inquiry until the required support has been delivered.
Work with Specialists to identify trends and insights surfaced through inquiries, ensuring evolving inclusion needs are being met across all Goodstart centres.
Provide administrative support to enhance our inclusion support processes and systems.
Work collaboratively in a case management model with all stakeholders (internal and external) to optimise inclusion support through planning and implementing strategies together to make best use of resources and expertise, to assist Goodstart to meet its goal of Inclusion for Everyone.
