Geelong, Australia Private Respite and Accommodation Services Full time

We are currently looking to employ Disability Support Workers on a casual basis who are available for Providing Morning, Day, Afternoon and overnight support in the Geelong area. We are needing carers to support a male participant in his own home 24/7 as well as Various other participants needing In home Daily activity support and Community access support. We will be looking for multiple workers over various shifts including overnight supports. The workers should have experience dealing with Clients with behaviour support plans and dealing with participants who have Autism.

Who we are: Private Respite and Accommodation Services (PRAS) is a registered disability support service under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offering services across Greater Geelong. We provide one on one, low and high intensity respite support services for people with disabilities and their families/carers within their family home, support worker’s home or in the community. We undertake all aspects of service provision with confidentiality and professionalism and act with integrity, empathy; recognising the importance of trust, honesty and respect. We endeavor to match our staff with participants for a positive outcome for all. Key duties and responsibilities include**:One on One disability support that meets participants individual needs and goals that gives opportunity for participant’s skill development.** Community Access - One on one support for recreational and leisure activities that enhance participants social skills **Personal care and meal preparation as required** Overnight respite in participants home as applicable **Completion of relevant documentation**

What you must have**:Certificate III or IV in Disability or equivalent qualification and/or experience in the Community Services Sector** Current Level Two First Aid and CPR **Current Victorian Driver’s Licence** Satisfactory completion of both Police and Working With Children (Employee) Checks, NDIS worker Screening Check.

Note: If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.
