**Position Information**:
Located in the Botany Bay Network, Malabar Public School is a dynamic K-6 school established in 1909. The school is found in a coastal suburb situated in the south eastern region of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Malabar Public School currently has 280 students. The NESB population for the school is at 14%. Trained and dedicated teachers deliver quality teaching programs in a caring and supportive environment.

**Selection Criteria**:
- In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with a demonstrated capacity to work successfully with the leadership team, balancing exemplary teaching with the demands and the complexities of a leadership role.
- Evidence of outstanding collaborative skills to work as part of a leadership team, synthesising data, to support the implementation of the school's strategic directions.
- Proven excellence in enhancing student wellbeing and inclusion, as well as enhancing positive partnerships within and beyond the school community.
- Willingness, and/or demonstrated capacity to strengthen Aboriginal Education programs and to work in partnerships with Aboriginal students and families.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
