**Belvidere Winery** is located just outside of Strathalbyn, South Australia, on Country where the lands of the Peramangk and Ngarrindjeri peoples meet. For generations, this area has been a place of trade, exchange, and connection, a tradition that speaks directly to our wine business and philosophies.

We’re a contract processing facility crushing about 10,000 tonnes a year. Our clients range from small super-premium producers to the large commercial, and everything in between. This variety creates constant diversity in winemaking styles and expectations.

**About the Role**

This role is about the thrill of being in amongst it, whatever it takes. It’s definitely not for the cushy corner-office winemaker.
- You’ll work in a close-knit team, alongside a large vintage crew of returning and new faces. That mix brings cultural exchange, but also the challenge of teaching, guiding, and communicating effectively.
- Our clients are diverse, their requests are paramount, and you’ll need to juggle them all with speed, flexibility, and meticulous records.
- The industry is as it is. Margins are tight, so you’ll be challenged to achieve excellence with the current industry pressures to strive us forward.
- Vintage means 12+ hour days, six days a week, with the seventh shared among the team. It’s organised chaos, and that relentless feeling of “not enough hours.” But if you live to get it done because you love making wine, you’ll feel at home.

**Job Requirements**

We’re looking for someone with:

- Permanent Australian work rights;
- Tertiary qualifications in Oenology from a reputable university;
- At least 5 years’ experience as a winemaker, ideally in a contract processing facility;
- Experience with Vintrace (advantageous);
- Hands-on experience in both cellar operations and laboratory work;
- Strong communication skills.

Along with making wine, you’ll be managing complexity, sharing knowledge, solving problems, and being part of a team that lives its values.

Remuneration negotiable depending on experience.
