Sports Trainer- School Holiday Programs

An opportunity has arisen for an individual with an interest in sport to act as a sports trainer for the Active Gamers Australia Vacation Care programs at Gold Creek High School and Lyneham High School.

The role will require:

- Working weekdays in the January school holiday period
- 9:15am - 3: 15pm hours
- 9:15-midday at Lyneham High School, 1pm-3:15pm at Gold Creek High School
- Running engaging appropriate sports games for segmented age groups, 6-9 yo, 9-12 yo
- Training Active Gamers educators to run the games
- Creating documented sports session guides for educators
- A paid work from home preparation day, and regular reassessments of the sessions
- To communicate equipment requirements with management
- Reporting results to management

The requirements:

- Previous knowledge and experience in running appropriate sports sessions for children
- Plan and execute fun engaging sports sessions for 6-12 year olds.
- Motivate, and include all children in the session
- Communicate effectively with children and to teach educators how to run the sessions
- Own travel between Lyneham and Gold Creek (a car is best)
- A current Working with Vulnerable People Check

Remuneration
- The sports convener will be paid at the appropriate childcare educator award rate in order to benefit from the upcoming 10% increase govt grants for childcare workers.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
