**Role Summary**:
As a **Procurement Specialist** at Fekkon, you will focus on sourcing materials for complex solar panel and electrical projects, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts to secure the best terms for the company. This role is strategic in nature, requiring the ability to develop procurement strategies, implement cost-saving initiatives, and maintain long-term supplier relationships. Your responsibilities will include high-level negotiations, optimisation of procurement processes, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, rather than routine purchase order management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Source and acquire materials for** Fekkon’s industrial and domestic projects, focusing on securing solar panels, electrical components, and other equipment through long-term strategic supplier relationships.
- **Negotiate complex contracts** with key suppliers to secure the most favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
- **Develop procurement strategies** to optimize the purchasing process, implementing cost-saving measures and identifying new opportunities for efficient material sourcing.
- **Track and manage inventory levels**, ensuring materials are available for ongoing projects and adjusting procurement plans based on project demands. This goes beyond routine purchasing tasks by involving continuous market analysis and supplier performance monitoring.
- **Monitor supplier performance** and maintain strong relationships to ensure reliability, consistency, and high quality of procured materials.
- **Conduct market research** on emerging trends in solar and electrical equipment, leveraging new technologies and market shifts to enhance procurement processes.
- **Ensure full compliance** with all industry standards and regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
- **Collaborate with project management and finance teams** to align procurement activities with project timelines, budgets, and objectives, providing input on procurement forecasts based on project pipelines.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Tertiary education (Bachelor's degree and above).
- Experience in **strategic procurement, **preferably in the renewable energy or electrical services sector.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of managing complex supplier contracts and securing favorable terms for the company.
- Analytical mindset, capable of interpreting market data, forecasting material needs, and optimising procurement processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the successful delivery of materials on time and within budget.

**Performance Goals**:

- Achieve cost-saving targets of 5-10% per year through **strategic sourcing** and advanced negotiations, rather than focusing on transactional purchasing.
- Ensure **100% compliance** with company policies and legal regulations in all procurement activities.
- Monitor and optimise procurement metrics and provide monthly or quarterly reports on **procurement performance**.
- Reduce procurement cycle times by 10% through process improvements and strategic supplier management.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts and supplier agreements, to support project-specific requirements.

**SALARY**:$80,000 - $100.000 + Super
