One of the very busy and well-known Sydney-based attractions needs a
**Payroll Officer to start Immediately**. This is an ongoing temporary role and is part-time, working 3 or 4 days a week.

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for the processing of the attraction's fortnightly payroll, providing payroll advice and transactional support to the internal and external stakeholders, along with assisting the Payroll Lead with the development and implementation of payroll processes and strategies, streamlining current processes and any other payroll related tasks and projects.

**Main duties**
- Prepare and process fortnightly pay run and general ledger
- Process employee commencement, termination and variation data into the payroll system
- Checking and processing timesheets, allowances, leave requests, deductions and pay adjustments
- Prepare and deliver payroll-related reports
- Assist with system improvements, forecasts and sustainability of the payroll function
- Liaise with the People and Culture team to ensure payroll processes are in accordance with individual employment agreements and legislative requirements.

**This role is right for you if you have**:

- Experience in payroll processing
- The ability to interpret employment contracts, Enterprise agreements, Awards and relevant employment legislation
- High attention to detail, ensuring accurate data and records
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- **Permanent Residency in Australia**

Experience in Working in an Australian Public Service Agency is an advantage as well as knowledge of Aurion Software
