**THE OPPORTUNITY**

**Salary**:$78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience)
**Time Fraction**:Full Time, 1.0 EFT.***
**Location**:Chadstone campus.
**WWCC**: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
**Police Check**:Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
**Position Status**:12-month Fixed Term contract

The Department of Plumbing provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. The department is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to effectively design and teach theoretical and practical sessions, to students in Plumbing and Mechanical Services courses.

You will be in contact with students of different ages, skill sets and experience. We need a highly experienced industry Plumber who has real-life examples and experience to impart to students. You will be taking time and attendance, marking and resulting assessments into Brightspace, and delivering theoretical and practical sessions. You will have the opportunity to provide pre-course advice to students at Open Days, information nights and Expos.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Ideally, experience as a teacher of vocational and/or higher education and training programs.
- Ability to instruct a range of students and adapt suitable strategies including multi-cultural awareness and a commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to effectively convey knowledge, skills and experience appropriate to a diverse student population through the selection and use of a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies.
- An approved degree or diploma in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications.
